marc1 Oct 1, 2007 11:20 AM (in response to sergeysmirnov)first, BUGFREE! as of today, there are just to many to be ignored. second, the documentation has to be completed - for too many components there are too many parameters missing the corresponding documentation.
and dont take me wrong, i think richfaces is a great framework, but as of now is very time consuming to do things a bit more complicated as in the samples. many things just dont work as you would expect and finding the workaorounds is sometimes a pain when working on a shedule..
once the above is done, my wish list is:
1. file upload
2. progress bar
3. modal panel light version
4. more possibilities for js interaction maybe more flexibility for <a4j:jsScript..> -

fmarwede Oct 1, 2007 12:36 PM (in response to sergeysmirnov)I agree to everything of the last post, so I don't have to write these things myself.
The cookbook (already there) is a very good idea - now the community is much more able to participate on providing solutions for common problems (bad english?). -

sergeysmirnov Oct 1, 2007 1:22 PM (in response to sergeysmirnov)what does it mean: modal panel light version
What kind of js interaction is missing now? -

Waiting for vote.

modal panel is quite a heavy weight for simple things like for example displaying text or showing images (as in a photo album when displaying a preview of the image or by moving the mouse on the thumbnail). some times you want just to display fast an image that is already cached and dont want the round trip to the server for getting an image.
with jsFunction i meant i think, :), the possibility to include javascript within the jsFunction body. maybe also an onenter="", similar to oncompletion="".

Frame/Iframe helps us to open a JSF application inside other (for eg: say static HTML Websites) systems.
Also we could mask main URL too.
Could you plz add in future/feature JIRA

amitev Oct 2, 2007 9:10 AM (in response to sergeysmirnov)why frame/frameset has to be a jsf component?

If i use default HTML iframe/frame then JSF pages are not rendered properly or sometimes strange behaviour (by pressing F5/Refresh button page goes to previous stage).
So I would prefer a clean JSF component for Iframe/frames. -

henrik.lindberg Oct 2, 2007 12:51 PM (in response to sergeysmirnov)Although it is great to get more components and features. Our main problems have to do with quality, performance, diagnostics, and debugging.
If there is anything I would like to see make the same giant leap forward as you did for documentation it is in this area.
I have stopped counting the hours/days/weeks spent trying to figure out why something does not work... -

<a4j:mediaOutput> might be used for all of that. ...or you speak about something with visual representation like start/stop/pause on the panel?
