Those developer subscriptions only included RHEL and have been discontinued. Red Hat Developer Studio will include Eclipse, Eclipse Tooling, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, and RHEL . So, it will provide a lot more value.
So it will cost more than $99 I assume
We haven't announced the price yet. But, I wouldn't make any assumptions on the price based on previous offerings.
Just out of interest, what happens if you buy a subscription this year, and don't buy one next year, do you still get to use the software but without updates or does it totally expire?
Will the cost of renewal be slightly less than the cost of buying a new subscription from scratch each year?
Any idea when pricing details (policies and amounts) will be available?
The software will not expire at the end of a subscription since it is open source. However, you will not receive updates or access to red hat network after a subscription expires. Renewals are not discounted.
We will announce pricing and more information as we release Red Hat Developer Studio.
