darranl Jul 31, 2004 11:06 AM (in response to briforge)The jndi.properties file in 'myserver/conf' needs to be set back to :-
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING # java.naming.factory.initial=org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory java.naming.factory.url.pkgs=org.jboss.naming:org.jnp.interfaces

briforge Jul 31, 2004 10:18 PM (in response to briforge)Thanks for the reply, I'll give that a shot.
Can you tell me more about why? Other than I didn't know what I was doing? Was the default port already 1099? -
3. Re: ClassNotFoundException : org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContex
darranl Aug 2, 2004 9:37 AM (in response to briforge)The file that you were editing is the file used by JBoss internally, clients should have their own copy of the file.
The default file allows JBoss to access JNDI within the JVM without making network calls, editing this file causes all calls to go over the network. -
4. Re: ClassNotFoundException : org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContex
briforge Aug 2, 2004 9:57 AM (in response to briforge)Ok so where is the client copy of the jndi.properties file supposed to be? Or is the client supposed to work with just the lines of code I posted in the original message?
