How Jboss3.0.1RC1/Tomcat4.0.4 support Chinese charset?

Hi,

I'm from china, I use Jboss3.0.1RC1/Tomcat4.0.4 to develope my applications, now when I call a hyperlink with chinese char, the parameter value turns to mass,and the date of datebase input from from is also dirty,

please tell me how to config jboss3/tomcat4 to support chinese, I have a lot of bear.

By the way, My program code is run well on Weblogic6.1,

but i hope to migrate it to Jboss/Tomcat.

Confirm whether the browser supports the chinese characters?

You said it was working fine in weblogic, did you use the same setup (just in case)

Isthe PC in which the JBoss/Tomcat combo runs is chinese or English OS installation ?
This could be one of the problems.

Say you are running the PC with English OS installation, then some problems can arise when the chinese characters are posted.

There could also be one more thing, check whether there are any proxy servers, and find out whether they support the charset's.

If you are using tomcat4.0.x
insert such statement before call request.getParameter

request.setCharacterEncoding("GB2312");

Now I made it, just like Erik lee says, I worked all night and night for it though the solution is just a line.
