Installation and Configuration

I'm new to the whole teiid and Jboss.
I understand that there is a sever and a developer however how do I install and configure the server? Do I have to have an application server?
Help!!!!!!

The initial release of Teiid is delivered as an embeddable module, the next release is targeting the release of a dedicated server.

Take a look at the quick start guide to see how to run the embeddable version in standalone mode.
