Running under tomcat

Hi,

I largely have my vdb running now, and working under tomcat.

The problem I have is this error:

Jun 10, 2009 14:22:10.677 [http-8080-Processor25|0] ERROR <DQP|0> Failed to Properly initialize the Connector manager for Connector Binding "TeiidDB_1.ora Connector"
com.metamatrix.common.application.exception.ApplicationLifecycleException: no protocol: classes12.jar
 at com.metamatrix.dqp.embedded.services.EmbeddedDataService.initConnectorManager(EmbeddedDataService.java:587)

the vdb works when I execute it in eclipse.

The problem seems to be that when i execute it in eclipse, it uses the connector, but when in tomcat it uses the bound connector as defined on the execute tab. And in that connector i've typed in the same details as the connector in the designer. i.e. classpath is just set to classes12.jar

Does classpath need to be set to something else?

ah; I need it to say extensionjar:classes12.jar

However when i do that i repeatedly get:

com.metamatrix.jdbc.MMSQLException: Error occurred on connector ora Connector<2> - ORA-01017: invalid username/password;
logon denied

Yet i'm sure my logon details are correct. Any other ideas?

Hi Dan,

Could this be a case of https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/TEIID-550 ? It should be fixed in recent Teiid/Designer downloads but perhaps you have an older version(?)

arrgh maybe. I'll try and follow that workaround.

In the mean time is there a 6.1 designer somewhere i can download with the fixes?

Latest Teiid download can be accessed at http://www.jboss.org/teiid/downloads.html

try the latest 6.1.0 unstable versions, but stable versions will follow very soon may be this week.

yes i've seen those links, but i dont see a link to the 6.1 designer?

There only seems to be CDK, embedded and src?

Teiid Designer links are at different URL location. The second link should take you there. There is 6.1-M1 version available now.

ah, i clicked the wrong link on the page, i clicked the 6.1.0 link which took me to teiid server rather than milestone 1.

Anyway the workaround to this problem worked, hurrah!
