IDE of Choice

This may be a "silly bugger" type question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. What is the IDE of Choice for java development, particularly JMX development? Or, is the command line more popular? I have been working with Sun's One Studio (Forte) for the last couple of months, but today I was forced to reinstall. I'd like to avoid having to take one step backward every few weeks if I can.

You must use jEdit to write all JMX code. Other IDE's are not allowed.

Thanks, Juha. The reason I ask is that I am wading through JMX - Managing J2EE with Java Management Extensions. The examples were all working well from within the Forte IDE until this morning. I'll switch over to JEdit and see how that goes.

Yes I was just kidding, you can use any IDE or editor you wish. I myself use jEdit, and like it, but your mileage may vary.
