a simple q for anyone who has created one bean

i am new to JBoss but not ejb/java...

i am trying to compile and deploy my first bean
iam getting this error
file:C:/work/forjboss/build.xml:137: taskdef class xdoclet.ejb.EjbDocletTask can
not be found

and this is the class path getting genrated->
some how it wasnt picking this file from xdoclet dir so i hardcoded the java .class.path
the class does exist in this jar file- that I have double checked- so whats the problem now ???

this is ANT config issue, make sure that when you're running ant it knows where to find the task definition class.

if u are running xdoclet 1.2b2 , it mite be an issue, havent investigated why it doesnt give this, maybe a dependency class somewhere.
Try Xdoclet 1.2b1, that should work as is

Was that on a command line or in an IDE?

I was getting this error using Netbeans 3.4.1 until I put all the xdoclet libraries into the directory ${netbeans.home}/modules/patches/org-apache-tools-ant-module.

If you are on the command line, you have to provide the right classpath to the ant taskdef ...
