JBoss releases in official repository?

I'm curious, why JBoss does not use the official Maven repository for releases?

It will make life much easier for a lot of us who have policy to mirror all repositories for internal use.

We're still in the process of getting repository synchronization between our repository and the central maven repository. The latest holdup is waiting for someone from the maven team to create an account for us to push our released artifacts to. I will talk to jvanzyl today to see if we can speed things up because it is taking a long time to get this going.
