Releases and snapshosts

Why is it looking in the snapshot repository during the release process?
e.g.

My release wouldn't be very reproducable if it found a snapshot mojo for example.

How do we fix this?

I'm guessing that release versions are not explicitly disabled in your settings.xml.

 <releases>
 <enabled>false</enabled>
 </releases>

Looks like the MavenSettings wiki page (http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=MavenSettings) didn't disable release versions coming from the snapshot repo. I updated it now with the correct settings.

On a side note, it looks like the artifact was finally found in the central repository. I asked for some help from IT (with a helpdesk ticket) to have our own mirror of the central repo based on this discussion (http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=131197). But I haven't gotten a response yet.
