OK, I'll restrain myself for a bit more. :-) -
5. Re: Splitting the rest of MC
alesj Mar 10, 2008 12:51 PM (in response to alesj)Perhaps putting a Category here:
To get all the newly created JIRAs under same category/group - MC or something ... -

I've created a Microcontainer category. -

Any reason why JBMICROCONT isn't part of it? -

I guess JBVFS belongs there too.
The VFS isn't really part of the MC. It was just developed there first
for convenience.
The metadata repository, reflection, MetaType and Managed
really fall into the same category. No dependency on the core MC projects.
But they are more obviously associated with the MC/Deployers project since they are
their biggest consumers. -

Yup, but that's the same with VFS.
Its only (current) other consumer is AS, and even that goes (strictly) through deployers.
I see this category more as who's developing (where it came from) that than what it actually does.
e.g. Labs category ;-) -

starksm64 Mar 13, 2008 2:22 PM (in response to alesj)JBVFS is closer to an mc project than labs in my view. But then, I have never paid attention to the jira top-level categories.

Me neither, but not having VFS there as well (almost) defeats the whole purpose of creating MC category.
Being inconsistent on something that is already inconsistent. :-)
