Search Menu in Eclipse not showing properly in OS X with Sea

Hi all,

The subject pretty much says it all. Not sure where I should post bugs... so shall post here for now.

So when the seam feature is installed in OS X, the search menu in Eclipse changes to "%searchMenu.label" instead of "Search".

This seems to happen in most later releases, and imagine it has to do with "Find Seam References" and "Find Seam Declarations" menu items. I assume it doesn't happen in Linux/Windows otherwise you would probably have heard about it by now.

I have an old release from November which does not display this behavior (and has the 4 tabs in the VE rather than just the Visual/Sources and preview tabs, I like the separate tabs, but I am sure this has been discussed elsewhere :-) )

about tabs - they became redundant when we added the splitpane....

Ok...

I actually looked at jira before posting to see if the issue was raised already...

I might be a bit dense... but I couldn't see how you create a new issue.

I concluded that you might need a special permissions to create new issues, as my login did not seem to make it obvious how to create new issues... I could create new filters... but that was all I found.

Am I missing something totally obvious?

Everyone that can login should be able to click "Create New Issue"

Ok, no, I wasn't missing anything obvious then...

After logging on, the "Create New Issue" option is definitely not available to me as is shown in your screen shot.

Logging in using the same username and password as I use for this forum.

Hi Colin,

Here is the message I got from our jira admin:

"His username seems to be 'CFraser'. If he's logging in with 'cfraser' instead of 'CFraser' it will succeed, but he'll be lacking privs to even file new bugs. Usernames are somewhat case-sensitive. Tell'em to attempt logging in with capital-C, capital-F, "raser"."

I was indeed logging in as cfraser rather than CFraser... logging out of cfraser and back in as CFraser does indeed allow me to create new issues... strange but true.

So thanks for getting that sorted.
