Performance problem with org.ajax4jsf.Filter parameter enabl

There is a huge performance problem if org.ajax4jsf.Filter is initialized with enable-cache false. CSS relating to the skin take 30 seconds to load.

I first noticed this with 3.1.3, and the problem seemed to be related to the new script and style loading parameters, but the key turned out to be the above filter setting (which I had also changed at the same time).

Issue RF-1843 describes similar behaviour, but I did several tests to prove that in my case context parameter org.ajax4jsf.COMPRESS_SCRIPT is not responsible, but it is really filter parameter enable-cache on org.ajax4jsf.Filter.

When it is slow Firebug shows that files named like "eAGTW...jsf" in a subdir of "toolBar.xcss" and "panel.xcsss" take almost exactly 30 seconds to load (and the files are only ~500 bytes).

This behavior is totally reproducible, and occurs in both Firefox and IE7.

I think enable-cache=false exposes the same bug, but the RF guys can comment on that. I actually found the exact same results as you - I was only able to work around it with enable-cache=true.

Also, the JIRA claims this is fixed now. It would be interesting to know if the problem is fixed for you with the latest snapshot.

Confirmed this is fixed in 3.1.4.
