hanafey Jan 16, 2008 8:56 AM (in response to hanafey)Issue RF-1843 describes similar behaviour, but I did several tests to prove that in my case context parameter org.ajax4jsf.COMPRESS_SCRIPT is not responsible, but it is really filter parameter enable-cache on org.ajax4jsf.Filter.
org.ajax4jsf.COMPRESS_SCRIPT enable-cache Result ---------------------------- ------------ ------ true true FAST true false SLOW false true FAST false false SLOW
When it is slow Firebug shows that files named like "eAGTW...jsf" in a subdir of "toolBar.xcss" and "panel.xcsss" take almost exactly 30 seconds to load (and the files are only ~500 bytes).
This behavior is totally reproducible, and occurs in both Firefox and IE7. -

mmichalek Jan 16, 2008 10:13 AM (in response to hanafey)I think enable-cache=false exposes the same bug, but the RF guys can comment on that. I actually found the exact same results as you - I was only able to work around it with enable-cache=true.
