I am having problems in startuing EJB3 preview 4

Please follow all the installation directions.

You must remove remoting-service.xml from the deploy/ directory.

I'm pretty sure that you can ignore this error anyways...

P.S.

Comments like "For that matter I have been able to get Oracle's EJB30 preview working very smoothly" do not give me any added incentive to answer your questions. The installation instructions are lengthy because we wanted EJB 3.0 to run on an existing JBoss production installation rather than having you download an ALPHA release (like Oracle does).

I am really sorry that my comment about Oracle caused a misunderstanding. Believe me, it was not meant as some sort of comparison or as a derogatory remark towards JBoss EJB30 preview. If you read further, I, in fact, very categorically mentioned JBoss is my "first love". Moreover, I have already reported many wrong or non implementations in Oracles's EJB30 preview to them and expressed my displeasure with their claim that theirs is a full implementation of EJB30 draft 2.

But still I offer my sincere apologies for causing the discomfort. Believe me I have been a great fan of JBoss and I promote its usage whichever organisation I happen to work for.

Actually I looked for the file "remoting-service.xml " and I did not find it. So I think as you mentioned I should be fine by ignoring the stack trace. I will now try running the samples.

Finall I got it working!

Actually I redeployed the sp1 and preview. It appears in my previous attempts, I missed one step of the installation instructions. But right now everything is working just superb.
