2. Re: deploy a PDF
glodo Feb 15, 2006 5:32 AM (in response to glodo)in the user guide say:
Prefix: This is the context path prefix that will trigger the portal to render content. By default, navigating to a URL such as http://localhost:8080/[portal_context]/content/Test.PDF will trigger the portal to display the PDF isolated from the portal pages. The path following the Prefix has to be absolute when fetching content.
What mean this?
I have to create a directory in the CMS manager with the name "content" and on this load the pdf files and then when i want to link to pdf file do i default/content/file.pdf ?
so thanks

3. Re: deploy a PDF
noicangi Feb 15, 2006 7:09 AM (in response to glodo)no you dont need to create content folder look at
localhost:8080/portal/content/default/images/jboss_logo.gif
content is the root folder of the cms....
what i dont understand is how to open it....and how to open a html file of the cms without the portal

6. Re: deploy a PDF
ivanlatysh Feb 15, 2006 11:08 AM (in response to glodo)If I understood your problem correctly you can't get to CMS Manager.
Otherwise you would find `upload` and `edit` actions there.
I will assume that you have already downloaded and installed JBoss portal 2.2. and you didn't change deployment descriptors. If you don't please download the fresh version (Bundled JBoss Portal) just for this exercise.
1. Start JBoss portal
2. Login using username:admin and password:admin (default admin user)
3. `CMS Manager` page will apper as soon you logged in, click on it
4. Use `CMS Admin` to modify and upload content. -
