RichFaces for users of NetBeans and glassfish

It works perfect out of box. Almost.

RichFaces depend on Apache commons project. As far as i understood from my environment (glassfish 9.1_02 build b04-fcs + NetBeans 6.1) glassfish doesn't have apache *.jar files bundled.

So you have to create libraries in NetBeans and add them to your project.

1) Apache libraries to download *:

• 
  
• Digester http://commons.apache.org/digester/
  
• BeanUtils http://commons.apache.org/beanutils/
  
• Collections http://commons.apache.org/collections/
  
• Logging http://commons.apache.org/logging/
  * - There is a small chance you will need log4j after all. If so (glassfish thows ClassNotFoundException) add it aswell http://logging.apache.org/log4j/. But don't do this step by default.
  
  2) Unpack downloaded files somewhere and add each to NetBeans as "Class Library" (Tools->Libraries->New Libary)
  
  3) Add newly created libraries to your webapp. Right click on project->properties->libraries->Add library

Worth to mention that you have to add RichFaces libraries aswell

1) Download it http://www.jboss.org/jbossrichfaces/downloads/
2) Unpack somewhere
3) Add all *.jars (lib/richfaces-api-3.2.2.SR1.jar, lib/richfaces-impl-3.2.2.SR1.jar, richfaces-ui-3.2.2.SR1.jar ) as "Class Library"
Add ./apidocs folder as javadoc
4) Add newly created library to your webapplication

All the libraries you have created (apache commons and richfaces) should be in your project and "package" check box should be selected.

If only code completion of facelets/richfaces could work on NetBeans?? :(

Strange that you wrote it. Auto completion works here.
Sometimes with lags though, but still.
