    First Post!

I'd like to be the first to welcome everyone to the Design of JBoss Wiki forum. Albeit, we've been using JIRA as our discussion for JBoss Wiki as we where hoping to use the JBoss Portal 2.0 Forums. Alas, we're actually going to port the jboss.org forums, all of them, to the JBP2.0 Forums. That's going to take some time.

I encourage everyone to take a look at the JBoss Labs project for JBoss Wiki. Over the course of the next two weeks we will be augmenting the content there as it will be our primary place for communication combined with this forum.

      Main JBoss Wiki Community Site:

      http://labs.jboss.com/portal/index.html?ctrl:id=page.default.info&project=jbosswiki

There are links there... to well... wiki pages and to the JIRA project for the roadmap of JBoss Wiki.

We are actively seeking contributors, and those of you that have already asked, thanks for all your help so far. Keep adding those feature requests and design comments. We really appreciate them. Now, let's move those conversations here to this forum where it is more open.

I might be a little dense - is the alpha wiki wiki read only at this time?

Great to see some awesome progress on this exciting venture - great work guys.

It's not read only. It's just that you have to be logged in to edit a page.

There's a little message at the top right of the wikipage... that has this information... hmm.. maybe we should make it a little more obvious.

            Cheers,

            Damon

              Thanks for appreciation :)

Altough alpha release is just a peek of iceberg... still a lot of coding to do and a lot of new features to come out :)

Yeah, that's what I thought too - I posted because it appeared I was already logged in (cookie?). Now I'm logged out but get an error page when I click on Log In. Got a catch a train so I'll try again tomorrie.

                  Hmm... works for me.

Maybe something else is wrong. Can you post the error you get?

                  Thanks,

                  Damon

OK, link to Login off the main project page goes here: http://labs.jboss.com/portal/authsec

Then I get a typical IE page error:

                    The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

                    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                    Please try the following:

                    etc.

                    Same thing today.

                      Hmmm... starnge.

It works for me just fine. I get the login box...

                        Hmmm..

I click on the url you gave.. and it works.

It is currently redirecting to 8443. Are you behind a firewall that blocks that port?

                        Cheers,

                        Damon

maybe you have set up in your IE to not allow redirecting from secure <-> insecure connections ?

                          • 10. Re: First Post!

Will try over dial up. That seem to work before. Probably Firewall issue.

                            • 11. Re: First Post!

Yup. Dial-up works. Get the login screen.

But can't log in - can't register. I recall this happening before. I tried later and it started working. Net congestion maybe?
