3. Re: JbossAS 5.0.1 / JbossESB 4.5 Compatibility ?
marklittle Mar 18, 2009 2:53 PM (in response to vincentgr)Initial investigations are going on now. If everything works according to plan then we'd like to have something running on AS 5.1 when it is released, or soon afterwards.

vincentgr Jun 8, 2009 4:38 AM (in response to vincentgr)Jboss AS 5.1 was released a few days ago. Any news on the availability of JbossESB on Jboss AS 5.x ? What I'm looking for specifically is tha ability to use OSGi to deploy my ESB components.

5. Re: JbossAS 5.0.1 / JbossESB 4.5 Compatibility ?
beve Jun 8, 2009 9:27 AM (in response to vincentgr)Hi,
we have been working of AS5 integration and you can find more information in this user forum thread:
http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=155228
This wiki page contains instructions about how to try this our if you are keen:
http://www.jboss.org/community/wiki/JBossAS5integrationforESB4x
About the OSGI support in AS5.x I'm not sure about the level of support for this at the moment but I know that work is being done in this area. You might want to try to post your question about this to the JBoss OSGI forum:
http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewforum&f=257

7. Re: JbossAS 5.0.1 / JbossESB 4.5 Compatibility ?
objectiser Jun 25, 2009 7:14 AM (in response to vincentgr)Have spotted a couple of issues when deploying the trunk version to JBossAS5.1.GA:
When I deploy some of the quickstart samples (hello_world and transform_XML2POJ) they deploy and run ok.
However, if I try to deploy the webservice_bpel sample, I get a problem on the assert-ejb3-available target - it still appears to be looking for the ejb3,deployer in the deploy rather than deployers folder.
If I then remove this dependency, to try to get further, I get compilation errors:
[javac] /.../jbossesb/trunk/product/samples/quickstarts/webservice_bpel/services/order-manager/src/com/activebpel/ordermanagement/OrderManagerBean.java:23: cannot find symbol
[javac] symbol : class ConfigurationException
[javac] location: package org.jboss.system
[javac] import org.jboss.system.ConfigurationException; -

9. Re: JbossAS 5.0.1 / JbossESB 4.5 Compatibility ?
beve Jun 25, 2009 7:47 AM (in response to vincentgr)I've updated the trunk now with a few modifications to the conf/base-build.xml and also to the webservice_bpel quickstart.
Would you be able to update and give this a try?
Thanks again for reporting this!
