How to get any response in this community forum?

Hi, I am doing some proof-of-concept in JBoss Portal for my work.

Posted 3 discussions so far but never got back a response. Don't if this is because:

1. I am posting in the wrong forum

2. My questions are too entry-level.

Can someone please give me some guidances?

Hi,

JBoss Portal as community project is replaced by GateIn Portal. If you are in initial phase or proof of concept phase, you should try GateIn instead. http://jboss.org/gatein You will get all features of JBP + better UI + more.

Thanks so much for reply to my message.

I went to the GateIn community site to check how active it is. But it's down at the moment. Given that it's relatively new, our concern is the expertise, or lack of, among users.

My management wanted to stick with Jboss Portal unless there is compelling reason for swtiching.

The 3 discussions I posted were all fairly basic. Would you please take a glance?

GateIn forum is working for me: http://community.jboss.org/en/gatein?view=discussions

The portlet container and few other modules in GateIn are inherited from JBoss Portal. What has changed significantly is portal administration and UI. I am very sure that's for good so you are not really loosing anything here by switching given that you are still in proof of concept stage.

Having said that I will take a look at your other issues and see if I can help.
