CirrAS - JBoss6 always shows as "Down" in RHQ

Have 2 backend nodes, the RHQ node and the front-end node running in EC2.  The JBoss6 instances both are inventoried, but show as "down" in the RHQ console.  I set the JNP property with the private IP of each instance and with admin/admin credentials within the Connection properties and that did not help.  Any ideas?  Should this work out-of-the-box?

Sorry for late response...

CirrAS is so configured that everything should work out-of-the-box without any configuration changes. Please debug the agent on back-end, there you'll have more information on the problem.
