1. Re: Where crossdomain.xml and clientaccesspolicy.xml files have to placed in JBoss 5.1
peterj Jul 14, 2010 12:05 PM (in response to ihrytsyuk)The jboss/server/${instant}/deploy/ROOT.war directory is the root context in AS 5.x.
1) How are these files being used?
2) How are these files being accessed?

peterj Jul 14, 2010 12:48 PM (in response to ihrytsyuk)You answered question 1, but not 2. Can I assume that Flash and Silverlight access these files via a URL such as http://hostname:8080/crossdomain.xml? If so, then the mentioned directory is the correct location.

4. Re: Where crossdomain.xml and clientaccesspolicy.xml files have to placed in JBoss 5.1
ihrytsyuk Jul 14, 2010 1:38 PM (in response to peterj)Peter,
Seems you're quite right.
Adobe site says:
{quote}Cross-domain policy files, named crossdomain.xml, are placed at the root level of a server.{quote}
another site says:
{quote}
The most common location for a policy file on a server is in the root directory of a domain with the file
name crossdomain.xml (e.g. http://example.com/crossdomain.xml) -- the default location that
clients check when a policy file is required.{quote}
Thank you for super fast answers.
Regards, Ivan
