Is the data in the folder gatein\data needed to migrate GateIn to a new machine

Is the data in the folder gatein\data\ jcr and jta needed persitence data if I migrate the GateIn to a new machine or can GateIn rebuild this data and I do not need to copy this folder to the new machine?

I guess you meant the folder : /server/default/data/gatein

I would say this folder is only for temporary data and do not need to be migrated to a new machine.
but not sure 100%.

did you made a test ?
