where does time value come from?

The hardware clock and the system clock on my linux box are set to TOMORROW. Richfaces calendar shows as current day TODAY! Where does this date come from?!

(Calendar.getInstance.getTime () shows TOMORROW)

Do you have timezone set using "timezone" attribute of rich:calendar?

No. But the difference on the clocks is a day. That cannot be due to different timezones?

Yes, this can be. The same moment can be early morning in one timezone and late evening in the other.

It does not make a difference. I can set the time on my system clock and my hardware clock several days ahead. The richfaces calendar still shows today.

To avoid ambiguities, here is an example.

date and hwclock on the linux box show:
Wed Apr 29 10:33:56 IST 2009.

richfaces calendar shows:
Mon Apr 27 10:33
