Well, I need a fixed read only area on the form where messages can be dynamically updated via the richfaces:ajx:push process. I'm implementing a log output viewer for providing realtime processing status messages. Would seem like a pretty basic need, but essentially what I need is a intputText control that provides an area to enter read-only information into (in my case lines of text) and support html/xml tags for formatting purposes.
rich:editor would seem a bit heavy for my needs but if I have to ...
