1. Re: Error [MEM: MEM: Can't update or insert balancer: {4}] sending command CONFIG to proxy
jfclere Dec 15, 2010 4:06 AM (in response to geofflancaster)the balancer in the CONFIG can't be created. You should set LogLevel debug in httpd.conf and look in the CONFIG message.

2. Error [MEM: MEM: Can't update or insert balancer: {4}] sending command CONFIG to proxy
geofflancaster Mar 31, 2011 9:42 AM (in response to geofflancaster)FIXED:
The solution to this problem was to increase the Maxhost, Maxnode, and Maxcontext declarations in the httpd.conf file. If these values are not set, they default to extremely low numbers.
Please see this link for more information for http configuration settings: http://docs.jboss.org/mod_cluster/1.1.0/html/native.config.html#d0e570

4. Error [MEM: MEM: Can't update or insert balancer: {4}] sending command CONFIG to proxy
geofflancaster May 10, 2011 10:29 AM (in response to mschwery)I simply added the following lines:
Maxhost xxx
Maxnode xxx
Maxcontext xxx
Where xxx represents the maximum number of each item you'd like to have running at any given time.
