How long is it every discovering component?

I want to know how to set the time for discovering component next.

For example , there is a component named "jbpm instance" which discovered components from a DB. There are three jbpm instances now in the DB, and when four jbpm instances , the UI didn't discovery them , and the UI has three jbpm instances still.

Hi,

usually resources of category 'server' are discovered every 15mins and 'services' once a day.

Check your $AGENT/conf/agent-configuration.xml file (search for 'discovery').

If you want to modify those values, make sure to read the comments at the top of the file.

Also, you can force a discovery on an agent with the agent's 'discovery' prompt command. 'discovery -f' performs a full discovery.  If the agent is being run in the background this command can be performed by executing a prompt command operation on the agent resource, via the gui.  Or, you can perform the operation groupwise on a compatible group of rhq agent resources.

forcing discovery can also be done via the "Manual Discovery" operation found on the platform resource.

Make sure the RHQ Agent resource is imported into inventory. Go to the RHQ Agent resource's Operation tab, and invoke the "Execute Prompt Command" operation.
