1. How to include the 'label' attribute of rich:calendar in message?
ilya40umov Feb 14, 2011 7:32 AM (in response to bhart2)Probably you should do it like this:
rich:calendar label="#{msg.label}" converterMessage="#{msg.label} #{smg.notADateMsg}"

2. How to include the 'label' attribute of rich:calendar in message?
bhart2 Feb 14, 2011 9:14 AM (in response to ilya40umov)So the label attribute isn't available for reference in the messages from the JSF - only in a custom converter? It just seems like it would be a natural attribute to use for quick app development.

3. How to include the 'label' attribute of rich:calendar in message?
nbelaevski Feb 14, 2011 6:37 PM (in response to bhart2)Brian,
You can customize this via providing messages for converters, like javax.faces.converter.DateTimeConverter.DATE or javax.faces.converter.DateTimeConverter.TIME etc.

4. How to include the 'label' attribute of rich:calendar in message?
bhart2 Feb 17, 2011 11:40 AM (in response to nbelaevski)Thanks Nick for the reply. I have seen this but I'm not clear on how to change the message to have the label? the default entry that comes with SEAM 2.2. is:
javax.faces.converter.DateTimeConverter.DATE=Value must be a date
I would love to change it to:
javax.faces.converter.DateTimeConverter.DATE={0} must be a date
But how to pass my parameter value to populate the {0} with the field label from the xhtml page?
<rich:calendar label="Withheld Date" datePattern="MM/dd/yyyy" enableManualInput="true" value="#{dtl.withdDt}" />

lucas.lopes Jul 19, 2013 2:19 PM (in response to bhart2)Hello, this worked for me:
<rich:calendar value="#{item.dataFiliacao}" datePattern="dd/MM/yyyy" inputSize="9" required="true">
<f:attribute name="label" value="#{msgapp['label.data']}"/>
</rich:calendar>
