Newbie question: creating and launching a xen appliance

I have Fedora 16 as Dom0 on my xen setup. I want to use boxgrinder to create a xen appliance.

I can run the simple f14-jeos.appl example (with no command line options) and produce a .raw file, which I assume is the appliance. I'm just not sure if this is a xen-suitable appliance. I cannot find an example where xen is targetted.

Assuming this is a correctly built xen appliance, how do I tell xen to launch it?

Thanks in advance for any pointers. When I get it working I'll put something on my blog so that others might find it.

You are correct, the .raw disk is the appliance ready to run on Xen or KVM. The easiest way is to use virt-manager to manage your appliance. You can import it and then launch it. To import an existing disk image - start the new virtual machine wizard - it'll have an option for that.

You should have virt-manager already installed on your system I think.

I'm going to be using virt-install instead of virt-manager (this is all from the console), but I think I can figure it out from here.
