this schema should help you while defining files like portal.xml, pages.xml and navigation.xml (for GateIn 3.2 / EPP 5.2).
Thanks to you one more time Michal!!
But I have one more question. Is there info about the tags corresponding to elements like content detail, content list, etc??
Somebody help!!! I need my custom layout within my portal!!
I want to put in my portal.xml elements from the Contents category (like Content Detail, Content List, Category Contents, etc). Michal helped me with a tag reference of the gate in project, but I think what I need is the tag reference of the site publisher.
Content Detail, Content List, Category Contents looks like elements that comes from SitePublisher.
so you'll find the tag reference there (or in ExoPlateform ECM product).
in the portal.xml, you cannot add directly these elements (unless I really missed something, but I don't think so).
but you can add some portlet, or wathever Web Application that can integrates in the portal page.
usual example are google gadgets application.
in SitePublisher, you can find some portlets and web application integrated in the portal.
you can take these directly, or follow this as some example and make your own.
then you put them in the portal.xml
before to put them there, you can try them in a usual portal page, to make sure they work there, then add them at the portal level, in the layout...
this is not mandatory, but it is a safe, step by step way to do...
Hello Rory, If you want to know exactly how various portlets are represented in pages.xml or portal.xml I would recommend using the Export/Import tool available under Administrator's Pages: Group --> Administration --> Site Export/Import.
You can use this tool to export your site with Content portlets (for example the Site Publisher's demo website) and look into the pages.xml - all preferences should be listed there.
