How can i deploy user defined function created for teiid 8 in jboss 7.1 crb1?

Hi,

I have created a user defined function which is pushdown = NOT_REQUIRED. When i deploy the vdb containing this user defined function following error ocurrs.

Could not load UDF "convertToBlob", since its invocation class "UserDefinedFunctions" could not be found.UserDefinedFunctions from [Module "deployment.PointSetVDB.vdb:main" from Service Module Loader]

I have tried to deploy the jar containing the class "UserDefinedFunctions" at various places in jboss 7.1 but it never worked.

Could anybody explain where and how I need to put the jar?

Farrukh,

In Teiid 8, you can create "lib" directory in your VDB archive file and supply all the required jar files inside that directory. So, the VDB is self contained with all the necessary files.

When Teiid Designer supports Teiid 8, this facility will be provided in tooling. For now, you need to manually open the VDB archive and add above.
