    Seam Mail with Russian language encoding

    toppac.toppac.gmail.com

      I am trying to use Seam Mail to generate emails from a template that contains Russian characters. The file is saved in UTF-8 encoding and has the encoding type declared at the top.

      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

      The body of the message appears to work fine. When I receive the email in either Outlook or gmail the characters are displayed correctly. But the subject is not getting encoded correctly. I have the following in the subject section

      <m:subject>пожаловать на!</m:subject>

      But when the email is received the subject is always

      ???????? ??

      Not sure if this is a Seam problem, since the message body works but the subject doesn't, or if it just an mail client issue. Anyone have advice on how to proceed?
