Direct Seam support for Flex?

Hi,

are there any plans to integrate Flex directly with Seam?
I tried the integration via FlamingoDS, GraniteDS and BlazeDS.

BlazeDS is my prefered aproach.

A Seam-Flex support (seam-flex.jar) based on BlazeDS would be very helpful and could include:

1) EJB support

3) Extended Seam-Flex-API

By the way, Spring does provide a flex integration via BlazeDS: Spring BlazeDS Integration 1.0.0.RC1 has been released: http://www.springsource.org/spring-flex

One interesting feature: FLEX-17 - Exporting Beans as Flex Remoting Destination using annotations.

Can I propose a feature request?

You tried FlamingoDS? That is strange, because FlamingoDS is precisely for integration between Seam and Flex...

I only tried granite with seam and looks fine ..
but to be honest in case you must choose one, which one you reckon (seam wise) ?

Anyone has some performance comparation chart ? I mean in case of large scale deployemnt .. how that will work ?

Hi Francisco,

BlazeDS, FlamingoDS and GraniteDS/Tide do all try to integrate Flex with Seam. You're right - the FlamingoDS-integration works fine. Unfortunately, FlamingoDS is not well supported and does not perfectly suits Seam.

A Seam-supported general approach would be much less error-prone.

Well, maybe someone should tell that to the Exadel guys, because AFAIK they are now JBoss employees, and Flamigo certainly seems to exist for with the specific purpose of integrating Flex with Seam. In fact the only demo availble for Flamingo is precisely an integration with Seam

How can i configure granite and flex with eclipseIde. i read documantation which My Linkhttp://www.graniteds.org/ 
  but i cant find anything about flex configuration.
i download org.granite.builder1.2.0.jar , dropping it into my Eclipse plugins directory, stop and restart eclipse. i should now be able to use the Add GraniteDS Nature option but there is nothing about flex builder. can anybody help me ? thanks...
