Dear HornetQ developers,
I have a simple publish/subscriber application.
What I want is:
The publisher get notified when the subscribers consumes a message from the topic.
Is that possible in HornetQ without making the publisher as a subsriber and the subscriber as a publisher again ?
I think you need a 'reply-to' address to send and receive notifications. In HornetQ the concept of message senders and receivers are totally separated.
that sort of defeats the purpose of having an asynchronous messaging system, the point here is that the publisher and consumer don't need to know anything about each other. Maybe you are using the wrong technology for your application.
Help me find resources how to do 'reply-to' address please.
I was thinking sometimes that I am using the wrong technology .
Guide me what to do or where to go.
I am beginner in HonetQ .
And what does (Buzz in messaging) mean ?
I would suggest reading a good JMS tutorial, The Sun one is pretty good.
There is a 'request-reply' example that comes with HornetQ download kit. Find it under examples/jms dir. You can get some idea what I mean.
