Yes, you can. The question is what is your data access mechanism for your cloud based data? Is it accessible using REST or webservices or something else? Depending upon it, Teiid may already have frameworks for access it or you may have to write some custom code to provide access to it.

preeti1987060 Aug 21, 2012 1:37 PM (in response to rareddy)Infact I am new to teiid. What are all the data access connections we can use .As per my knowledge when a product is on cloud and if you want to access the db of it either you have to take care of publishing the data to a webservice and can access that webservice as a source ot teiid and integrate with other prod db data. Please confirm if what I said is correct or not ?Are there any other ways of doing it?What are all the framework does teiid provide to do this?

If your database on the cloud is exposed through webservice, then Teiid provides web services translator and connector to provide access to integrate data.

Some resources
https://community.jboss.org/wiki/ConvertXMLDataIntoRelationalTableDataUsingTeiid
https://www.icts.uiowa.edu/confluence/display/ICTSit/Creating+a+View+from+XML+file+using+Teiid
Search Teiid community, there are couple others.
