Teiid 8.1.0.Final - build fails

I tried to build a teiid 8.1 release but the build process failed on my machine with following results.

Results :

Failed tests:   testRangeCheck1(org.teiid.core.types.basic.TestTransforms): expected:<...he Double value '100[,000,000,]000' is outside the ...>

but was:<...he Double value '100[.000.000.]000' is outside the ...>

Tests run: 242, Failures: 1, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0

I assume that the tests are written for US-English locale, so on other locales they fail. I saw the same behavior on the teiid 8.0.0.Final, but assumed, it would be fixed by now. Can somebody have a look at it please?

Which Java version you are running, I do not see the same errors?

Core devs are located in US-English locale, but if you like to submit patch with failing tests or point of all of them we will take a look.

There are likely quite issues with using non-US-English locales as we check quite a few string forms of error messages that may have been localized.  That doesn't however mean there is an actual problem.  The workaround of course is to change you locale.  I'll also have a look and see how much work would be involved in supporting builds in any locale.

I used this workaround to get rid of the locale failures. However, it would be nice to have locale-independent tests out-of-the-box

https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-2184 has now been resolved.  I tested with German and Japanese, but I think it should be good in general now.
