1. Re: I lost the 7.2
jaikiran Feb 22, 2013 10:18 PM (in response to morphy)That job was really meant for latest version of JBoss AS and since the latest master version of AS is 8.0.0-Alpha-1, that's what it is giving you as an output.

morphy Feb 23, 2013 5:03 AM (in response to jaikiran)Thank you Jaikiran, then... the 7.2 head is only from sources?

3. Re: I lost the 7.2
tomeicher Feb 26, 2013 9:55 AM (in response to jaikiran)So a rename would be in order... ;-) JBoss-AS-7.x-latest/ -> JBoss-AS-8.x-latest/
Actually, it would be cool if every current branch (7.1, 7.2, 8.0) had a job for itself...
Had to fight with that myself last week, since I was asked if bugs I reported reproduce against "latest"...

4. Re: I lost the 7.2
jrantav Mar 5, 2013 7:23 AM (in response to morphy)I'm interested in this also. So is the answer to build from sources, and build binary will not be provided for AS7 anymore?
I don't see a branch for 7.2 in git either, only a 7.2 prerelease tag. Is there a branch somewhere?
We might want to update https://community.jboss.org/thread/167590 too, as the job is no longer about AS7.

5. Re: I lost the 7.2
kristjan273 Mar 6, 2013 5:16 AM (in response to jrantav)Hi,
I am also curious how the source is/will be organized. Seems that 7.1 is not updated any more, for 7.2 there is no bugfix branch.
It is a little confusing and deserves some explanation.
tnx

well, I'm not sure good things come to those who wait, if we're supposed to be recommending products to client representatives and it seems hard to get information as to what's suppose to happen even in the next couple of months, even with enterprise contacts. I can't see how that can be good business to Red Hat either.

If you need information about Red Hat products you should visit website http://www.redhat.com/products/jbossenterprisemiddleware/application-platform/ or contact sales: http://www.redhat.com/contact/sales.html
My anwser was related to community release and had noting to do with product (EAP).

10. Re: I lost the 7.2
jrantav Mar 6, 2013 11:25 AM (in response to ctomc)Fair enough. Just saying that information even on either or would be nice (though preferrably both, but...)

Good boys wait and are left without (loses a bit in the translation) ;-)
So you're not telling us because
1) You made a lot of versions and now you don't know what to release?
2) You know the answer but it's so terrible that noone wants to say it?
3) You withold information because you are mean?

12. Re: I lost the 7.2
morphy Mar 7, 2013 1:13 AM (in response to morphy)I'm just asking how to get the latest 7.x nightly build.... no assumptions about roadmap (I'm hopefully waiting in silence and the git tag is... amusing)

13. Re: I lost the 7.2
nickarls Mar 7, 2013 1:44 AM (in response to morphy)There is a branch for 7.1 but nothing has happended there for months.
There is no branch for 7.2 but there is a prerelease1-tag for it (oldish).
So I would say the "latest 7.x nightly build" is undefined currently.

14. Re: I lost the 7.2
ctomc Mar 7, 2013 3:31 PM (in response to nickarls)Guys,
patience was worth it
https://community.jboss.org/blogs/mark.little/2013/03/07/eap-binaries-available-for-all-developers
you can now grab EAP 6.1 alpha binaries (based of 7.2.0.Final-prerelease tag) on download page.
so no need to build yourself 7.2 anymore.
