1. Re: Open JPA - Stored procedure with IN OUT params
nickarls Mar 18, 2013 4:12 AM (in response to mitvivek)Considering Hibernate is the default persistence provider, I would guess the OpenJPA forums will be more likely to provide a solution...

mitvivek Mar 18, 2013 5:10 AM (in response to nickarls)Hi Nicklas,
If I have to use the hibernate as my persistnce provider then will this procedure invocation is possible with IN OUT params?
I will check with the open jpa forums in the meanwhile.

nickarls Mar 18, 2013 6:00 AM (in response to mitvivek)Not sure if JPA supports out/inout parameters. I know I've used JDBC in similar cases.

4. Re: Open JPA - Stored procedure with IN OUT params
mitvivek Mar 18, 2013 6:21 AM (in response to nickarls)That is possible using JDBC and I have achieved it.
The thing I am confused now is that since the project structure uses JPA and we have a limitation hitting the stored proc with in/out params using jpa, is it a good design
if I continue using JPA and invoke the stored proc using jdbc?
Any suggestions?
Regards,
Vivek

smarlow Mar 18, 2013 9:16 AM (in response to mitvivek)JPA 2.1 StoredProcedureParameter will support in/inout/out/ref_cursor, which will be part of EE7.
