Open JPA - Stored procedure with IN OUT params

Hi All,

Can some one please help me use the openjpa to invoke a stored procedure.

I know that we can use the nativequeries but the thing is that when there are OUT parameters then how to proceed with this?

Considering Hibernate is the default persistence provider, I would guess the OpenJPA forums will be more likely to provide a solution...

Not sure if JPA supports out/inout parameters. I know I've used JDBC in similar cases.

That is possible using JDBC and I have achieved it.

The thing I am confused now is that since the project structure uses JPA and we have a limitation hitting the stored proc with in/out params using jpa, is it a good design

if I continue using JPA and invoke the stored proc using jdbc?

Any suggestions?

JPA 2.1 StoredProcedureParameter will support in/inout/out/ref_cursor, which will be part of EE7.
