1. Re: How to use Access Patterns to define Dependent Joins?
rareddy May 6, 2013 9:37 AM (in response to sanjeev.gour)Sanjeev,
Access Pattern is like providing a condition on one or more of the columns on the table or view. If the user query does not specify the WHERE clause on these columns then query will fail to execute. If you are using Designer, right click on the table entity, and select to create a access pattern on any column(s).

sanjeev.gour May 6, 2013 10:43 AM (in response to rareddy)Thanks Ramesh. We don't use the designer, can I define this in the model files?

sanjeev.gour May 6, 2013 11:00 AM (in response to sanjeev.gour)Ramesh, sorry, model files are internal to our project, I actually meant to ask if I can define it through the VDB or programmatically?

4. Re: How to use Access Patterns to define Dependent Joins?
rareddy May 6, 2013 11:12 AM (in response to sanjeev.gour)If you use DDL see the CONSTRAINTS section in https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/TEIID/DDL+Metadata
If you are programmatically designing the VDB, then see "Table.setAccessPatterns" method to set the metadata.
