We like to have it, but lack of expertise and resources may not push this to priority anytime soon. You can start by entering JIRA for this. We would love see as contribution from community members.

Have you done any work in this area? We are trying to consider this translator support for future Teiid releases. If you can contribute that would be great, otherwise we will start investigating for development of this translator.
Thanks

Sorry I haven't been on the forums for a while. I did actually build a Accumulo resource adapter/translator but it was for Accumulo 1.4.3. It looks like you are already near completion for 1.5.0. I'm not sure how much use my translator would be since the batchwriters/readers have changed a lot since the previous version. Please let me know if there is anything I can help with.
I am currently looking into building a translator for HBASE, I will contribute any work i finish to the project!
Happy Holidays!

rareddy Dec 27, 2013 12:50 PM (in response to pinkstondevin)Devin,
Since you worked before on this, any help with testing and any suggestions for further improvements would be really useful. If possible please point me to your codebase, I will see if there is anything I can pull in and implement in the translator I am developing. You can comment on the [TEIID-2627] Accumulo as a Supported Data Source
HBASE developement is on our radar, that would be a very useful translator given all the interest in this area. We welcome any contributions on this.
Thank you.
