1. Re: Archtype's for custom translator & connector

Having project source on the Teiid organisation on GitHub is fine. Once it is built it needs to uploaded into JBoss Maven repo. A document showing the usage, goals would be suffice. i do not think a video is necessary.

van.halbert Jan 16, 2014 12:36 PM (in response to van.halbert)Created a new teiid-tools repository, which contains projects for creating archetypes for generating projects for a translator and a connector.
To pulls the source: teiid/teiid-tools · GitHub
I'm sure there's more features/options that can be added to this, but this get the ball rolling with the ability to generate an initial translator/connector project for developing something new.
Comments/suggestions welcomed.

van.halbert Jan 16, 2014 4:28 PM (in response to van.halbert)Now that the archetype projects are available, would it good to remove the templates from the teiid project? I see several benefits to their removal:
- remove the duplication of code (template) to maintain
- have one way of recommending to starting translator / connector development
- don't need to fix the teiid connector-template, because the imports are not correct
Should I log a jira to remove the connector template? And also update documentation?
