1. Re: TEIID 8.8 and JBoss EAP 6.2
shawkins May 23, 2014 8:31 AM (in response to gioppoluca)The plans are still the same as they have been. The community will follow the the latest fully unrestricted version of AS/EAP released. Currently that is Wildfly which will be the target for Teiid 9 for later this year. Otherwise it is still EAP 6.1 Alpha on the AS 7 / EAP 6 line. Teiid product (Data Virtualization) releases are targeted at EAP final versions as they line up with the release cycle, for example EAP 6.1 Final and EAP 6.3 Final.

rareddy May 26, 2014 6:39 PM (in response to gioppoluca)Luca,
What is rationale for you to be looking into EAP 6.2? If you are trying to use for the development it is fine, but license restricts you use in production unless you buy the Redhat subscription. As far as Teiid is concerned, if you fix the in-consistences in the standalone.xml file it may work. Also the library versions change so some times it may be little more involved. The maven repo for EAP 6.2 is also restricted access for compile. So, basically you need to compile for EAP 6.1.Alpha and try deploy into EAP 6.2

3. Re: TEIID 8.8 and JBoss EAP 6.2
gioppoluca May 28, 2014 6:32 AM (in response to rareddy)We are migrating hosts and we are redhat subscriber also so our ops peopled proposed us to use the 6.2 version ... "it should be quite the same ... is just an app server" ... you know ops people, they just mind the host all that is above is "just the same" so to check I decided to give it a try to see what happened.
It was expected, so the option is going to data virtualization on the productized version of AS or stay on the community.
That is fair .. will need to explain ... again ... to ops people.

gioppoluca May 28, 2014 6:34 AM (in response to gioppoluca)BTW if I try to install TEIID 8.8 on wildfly I expect to have similar problems. Am I correct?

You would want to contact Red Hat support to see what the options are for supporting DV on EAP 6.2. It isn't quite as easy with the layered platforms to change base versions.

Yes that is correct. Teiid won't support wildfly explicitly until 9.0
