Translator overrides and teiid embedded

Hi,

I created a VDB that access an external web service. When I tried to deploy the VDB on embedded Teiid server, it displayed an error message that the translator overrides are not supported in embedded version of Teiid. I'd like to know what are the repercussions of this limitation? Do I need to create multiple translators instead of reusing an existing translator and overriding some of its default values?

Translator override is simply means not using the default values. If you are adding your translator using "addTranslator" method on the EmbeddedServer class, you just need to override the properties as you want before adding the translator.

The rationale for this limitation is that Embedded does not manage translators per vdb, but on a server wide basis.  So having translators declared in a vdb is not something it was initially designed to handle.
