1. Re: Can teiid JDBC connection work with SAML authentication?

We have OData service that is using SAML authentication, it will use local connection to connect to Teiid. Our user will access VDB's from both our OData service and Teiid JDBC interface.
Great! Did you follow this SAML Based Security For OData - Teiid 8.10 (draft) - Project Documentation Editor or something similar? I would love know more about how you did, which IDP you chose etc. Any write up would be great. We want to provide this as out of the box option in future releases.
Is ther any way to integrate the SAML authenction with JDBC connection?
I have never seen any usecases like that, I always looked at it as web based authentication protocol. In scenario like yours, I would configure the IDP and JDBC to use same backing authentication store like Active Directory or LDAP, thus providing the same security authentication. If you find others may be using this more innovatively then we can take a look.

2. Re: Can teiid JDBC connection work with SAML authentication?
kchen007 Dec 15, 2014 11:20 AM (in response to rareddy)We based on Pricketlink documentation to configure our OData applications(we implemented ourself) to work with WAAD and OneLogin, it is similar to what you did. We are not able to do SAML SSO on JDBC connection.
thanks
