Multiple ddl files in one static VDB

Hi All,

I am using Teiid static VDB and having a very large ddl file. It contains approx 36 views that's why this one file is not manageable. I want to split this file into multiple files i-e one file for each view.

I have tried to add more than one ddl files in META-INF\vdb.xml but it is not acceptable for Teiid. Also I dont know the way to include one ddl file into another.

Please help in this matter. Your any kind of cooperation will be highly appreciated.

The current built-in logic supports one DDL per model - see DDL-FILE Metadata Repositories - Teiid 8.10 (draft) - Project Documentation Editor

See Dynamic VDBs - Teiid 8.10 (draft) - Project Documentation Editor, in "VDB Zip Deployment". Essentially you need to do

<model name="schema1">
  <metadata type="DDL-FILE">/ddl/schema1.ddl</metadata>
</model>
<model name="schema2">
  <metadata type="DDL-FILE">/ddl/schema2.ddl</metadata>
</model>

inside the VDB. Unfortunately, you can define only one DDL file per schema right now. So, unless each of your view is in different models the above will not work correctly. We can make small enhancement to allow comma separated list of files for single schema, if you want can log an enhancement request for it.
