I do believe that the fact that we come from a JBoss (Java Middleware) company affects those decisions. Most of the tools that are provided in the community were started from the Java Developer perspective and regarding the constant effort to create more higher level abstractions we are still inside a Java community. One of the important things about BPM is that you can extend and customise every little details in your specific implementation and that's done unfortunately in Java because it is the language used to build the platform.
