Two entries in PROCESSINSTANCELOG per each process

Hi guys!

After starting and completing a process there are two entries in PROCESSINSTANCELOG table. Both are for a same process (similar processInstanceId) and both completed (Status =2). Is this a correct behaviour? I suppose not.

Only one process instance is actually being executed and completed, but two entries in log table pop up. And two entries are shown in process instance tab in kie-wb (both completed).

It would be not a big issue for me unless sometimes this "additional" process instance remains active, and is shown in jbpm-console as active.

But there is still another entry (both in log table and shown in jbpm-console) that sais that this exact process is completed!

Any thoughts? (version is 6.2.0.Final)

what data base are you running this on?

What is extremely weird is that the identity column is empty and that should not happen when it was invoked from workbench. Do you use custom application to interact with engine and then view it in workbench? If so make sure you don't have any duplicates of event listeners that might impact that.

Oracle, and yes, I use custom app to start processes and console to observe.

Commented out JPAWorkingMemoryDbLogger in event listeners in kie-deployment-descriptor of my kjar and it helped.

But earlier (in version 6.1.0.Final) i had to explicitly define this logging listener to activate the logging into a DB.

Is this not a case anymore for 6.2.0.Final? So I ended up with two loggers: implicit one and one defined by me?

yes, whenever you use default builder for runtime manager it will register audit logger automatically.
