Teiid deploy VDB on predefined tables

I have an AS400 DB containing more then 1000 tables, I have waited the deploy vdb for 2 hours and it did not finish.

I'm in need for only 50 tables from this DB,

Is there a simple way to specify the table names to be deployed into the vdb?

Yes, you can define the "import" properties on the translator like "schemaName", "tableNamePattern", "excludeTables" JDBC Translators - Teiid 9.0 (draft) - Project Documentation Editor when using the Dynamic VDB. If you are using the Designer, it also provides the UI to select which tables to import.
