You can always add additional OPTIONS clause entries to your VIEW/TABLE definition to any custom properties. You can manually edit the DDL for it, or add an extra metadata factory in the VDB issuing an ALTER TABLE statement. You can also extend the translator metadata importer to do the same, but I am not sure if JDBC DatabaseMetadata class shows this kind of information.
Typically these properties will only be useful if you are writing the custom translator. Once the property is defined, you get it back from RuntimeMetadata class.
